9.30am on 28th Sept. Preliminary 1 Day Hearing of the Local Plan

The Inspector will conduct a Pre-Hearing Meeting to explore two key issues before deciding on the next steps for the process.

Is Oxfords' projected unmet housing need accurate and sound
If so, does it meet the test of Exceptional circumstances required to build on Green Belt

Consultation on Cherwell's revised Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA)

On 11^th May 2018 the Inspector examining the Local Plan asked Cherwell to review it’s submitted Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA) in the light of a European Court judgement issued in April 2018. On 16^th Aug 2018 the Council published a revised HRA. This has been amended to include a Stage 1 Screening Report and Stage 2 Appropriate Assessment as necessary to comply with the Judgment.

The ruling 'raises the bar' for the protection of special conservation areas in the EU.

Comments to Cherwell by no later than Friday 28th September 2018.
