Consultation on draft plans for Stratfield Farm and Yarnton

Cherwell Council are currently consulting on the draft development briefs for two sites: Land at Stratfield Farm (PR7b), Kidlington & Land West of Yarnton (Site PR9). The consultation opened on Wednesday 11 August 2021 – and runs until midnight on Wednesday 22 September 2021.

These are a bit confusing since they include a lot of documentation from the Local Plan Partial Review - the LPPR (which sets out how the sites came to be considered suitable for large scale housing AND gives the agreed Policy requirements for sites PR7b and PR9.

You will find the two current development briefs at the BOTTOM of the document list. These set out how the 'site specific visions' and the proposed framework for achieving the vision. Once the consultation is complete the developers will (presumably) submit a planning application compliant with the finalised brief. Hence there will be a second opportunity to comment on the actual planning application. However, this is probably the best opportunity to raise any concerns since there is time to consider and incorporate in the planning.
As ever, it is best to be factual and refer to the applicable local and national planning policies to support your arguments.

We understand that Kidlington Parish Council are considering these and will respond but the more local engagement the better. If you have any queries or suggestions you might like to contact the Council and offer your ideas and support.
