The SOS Campaign Needs YOU

1) Object and get everyone you know to do the same - spread the word

We are going head to head with Cherwell planning department and all the rich developers and landowners wanting to cash in their land banks.

This is the second - and most important - round of consultation. Objections made now will have to be considered by the government. Every objection counts. Please ask everyone you know and everyone in your household to send an individual objection to Cherwell District Council by 5pm on 25th August.

2) Lobby your councillors and MP

Kidlington Parish Council: 7th September

Please write, email (or even talk to) your parish and District Councillors about your concerns. It's vital KPC votes to oppose building on Green Belt in principle and works closely with neighbouring councils.

Tell them too much is at stake.

Contact details if you need them are here.

3) Give a couple of hours on Saturday morning to cover the market stall

Are you able to help man our stall on Kidlington Market? We need volunteers to give an hour or so to hand out leaflets, take contact details and hear what people think about the Local Plan.

We are drawing up a rota - please sign up to help. The holiday period means we need extra pairs of hands. The stall needs volunteers between  9am - 1.30 pm Saturdays. You don't have to be there the whole time.  We hope people will do two hour slots

4) Order your SOS campaign material

You can order flyers, postcards and posters (A4 or A3) by emailing  . If you are able to help by putting up a more prominent display get in touch to discuss requirements.

Volunteers have completed the Kidlington village mailshot!

! 6000 households ! You did it ! Amazing !

Thanks to Liz and her band of 'Leafleters' we were able to distribute leaflets and objection postcards to the vast majority of Kidlington residents - and it was all  completed well inside the original consultation deadline.

Fabulous effort - well done one and all
